WARIGAMI is a hyper-intense digital series that imagines a world where banal paper objects can become weapons of good or evil, if handled by the right people. With a slick, contemporary-meets-traditional Japanese aesthetic, WARIGAMI is a throwback to 1970’s Japanese Samurai Cinema, set in a modern time.
Our unlikely heroes are MARK and VINCENT; two bumbling thieves who currently spend their days breaking into homes, stealing loot in a desperate ploy to help pay off a debt to the local mob boss. After casing the wrong house, they encounter WENDY, a hip, young feisty girl with an exciting propensity for altercations. The duo learn that WENDY is in possession of a strange, ancient gift, which allows her to utilize small paper objects, and turn them into weapons. The three join forces to battle the Akuma – a secret society that wants to stop technology.
Funny, thrilling, and incredibly rich in texture, WARIGAMI is a series that explores love, family, destiny, and teaches us that magic is real, and with confidence and conviction, greatness can be achieved.
